“That agreement is a fake achievement. It could have been done under conditions 20 times better, but it did not correspond to the demands of our people at that time,” — Serzh Sargsyan.
According to Sargsyan, during his tenure he refused to implement the peace plan because the people opposed it at the time. Today, supposedly, the people agree—but now the conditions are already 20 times worse.
Not much time has passed since Sargsyan’s years in power, so we still remember what was really happening. It was precisely Sargsyan’s propaganda machine that turned the people into “non-entities,” while the authorities monetized this idea, enriching themselves, looting, and internally undermining the country.
Then comes Pashinyan, who, remaining in the Sargsyan line, also rejects the peace plan, which leads to war, more than four thousand deaths, and later to the loss of Artsakh and the ethnic cleansing of the Artsakh Armenians.
