An incorrect solution to traffic congestion: Traveling from the regions to Yerevan becomes more expensive and complicated

Can restricting regional transport solve Yerevan's traffic congestion problem, or will it simply make the daily lives of people coming to the capital from the regions more difficult?

In this broadcast, I talk about Yerevan's transport issues, Tigran Avinyan's statement, and the restrictions on regional transport making stops inside Yerevan. I also address the consequences this approach could have for students, workers, and thousands of citizens coming from the regions to Yerevan, who are already forced to use unregulated and sometimes dangerous modes of transport today.

I also discuss the deeper causes of the problem: the lack of a unified and efficient public transport network on a national scale, Yerevan's irregular construction, the overcrowding of streets and infrastructure due to new buildings, air pollution, and management errors accumulated over the years. If the urban transport system cannot provide convenient and fast movement, stopping regional transport on the outskirts of the city is not a solution to the problem.

Will this decision actually reduce traffic jams in Yerevan, or will it simply create additional costs and inconvenience for residents of the regions without solving any of the city's main problems?
