The renovation work on the Genocide Memorial will be temporarily suspended: Chamber of Architects of Armenia

Such a decision was made at an extraordinary expanded session of the Scientific-Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (MESCS), attended by five members of the Chamber's council, according to the statement released by the Chamber.

Everything is being done to ensure that the Genocide Memorial Complex remains closed during the 8th Summit of the European Political Community, which is scheduled to take place in Armenia in May 2026. This is an attempt to remove the official state protocol visit to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex for foreign delegations.

It is possible that Erdoğan and Aliyev will also participate in the summit, and most likely, the decision to keep the memorial complex closed was made so as not to offend them.

This is yet another act of sacrilege being carried out by the authorities.

If this is not the case, then refute it today and publish the official protocol visits and meetings planned for the delegations participating in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community.
