The Administrative Court has accepted the application of Edmon Marukyan for proceedings, which challenges the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to remove the image of Mount Ararat from the seals of border checkpoints.

The Administrative Court has accepted the application filed by Edmon Marukyan, demanding the annulment of point 4 of part 1 of Decision No. 1299-Ն of the Government of the Republic of Armenia dated September 11, 2025. The challenged decision envisages the removal of the image of Mount Ararat from the Republic of Armenia state border crossing seal, starting from November 1, 2025.

At the same time, the Administrative Court rejected Edmon Marukyan's motion to suspend the operation of the challenged act. Thus, Decision No. 1299-N is set to enter into force on November 1, 2025. Edmon Marukyan will appeal the Court's interim decision not to suspend the operation of the challenged act.

The Court's decision was made by the following composition: presiding Judge Ani Chilingaryan, judges Ruzanna Azroyan, Armen Nersisyan, Artur Tsaturyan, and Aghasi Darbinyan.
