This clearly meant that he cannot be blackmailed into denying his identity, his church, and his nation’s sacred values.
Yet the Prime Minister and other government officials now manipulate this statement, claiming that Karapetyan is dismissive of a strategically important institution — and therefore it must be “nationalized.”
In reality, this is nothing more than a blatant violation of the fundamental right to private property, under the guise of patriotic concern. They are trying to justify confiscation by twisting words.
Let me add — Nikol Pashinyan doesn’t even have a competent legal advisor to explain that this obsessive desire to seize private property is going to catch up with them.
And in the end, let’s be clear: if the property is unlawfully taken, we will ensure it is returned to its rightful owner — and those responsible for the expropriation will be held accountable.
